Don't spit here

One disturbing trend in porn is this crazy spitting festival going on. Whether or not this is some new trend or whatever, I have to vote on no spit.

Now, I enjoy the sight of a well-lubricated blow job as much as the next porn-enthusiast: I also heartily enjoy a pussy that is glistening with saliva from a tongue burying into it repeatedly; however, I draw the line at these porn actors and actresses "hocking a loogie" onto their partner's genitals.

Again, well-lubricated is one thing--heck, I'd suspend belief long-enough to watch some porn actress drool in anticipation of a large cock all ready for her oral maneuvers. But spitting is coarse. Coarse is not sexy.

Now, in the right situation I could certainly see it as appropriate in the movie: it would have to be a situation of male dominant and female subservient and slightly on the rough side (y'know, like the fantasies the sexy wife tends to have and then be too embarrassed to share with me). Then, it could maybe possibly fit into part of the sex scene (again, if done right).

Personally, I look at it from a marketing/advertising perspective and wonder why the companies who make lubes aren't using it from a product placement perspective (condom companies as well). As the scene unfolds, the actor pulls out a bottle of lube with the label easy to see and no one has to watch any hideous spitting. Seriously, why is this not being done? Or, the porn actor says something like "Excuse me while I grab a Durex" and rolls on the condom? Product placement is big bucks in the movies--why should we be subjected to spitting in porn instead of commercialism with our jism?
